HOW TO PHOTOGRAPH LIGHTNING (EP 02: Safety)

Capture Lightning bolts safely!
This video can help you stay safe while out trying to photograph lightning bolts. While these tips are great rules to follow to maintain your safety, we don't dive too deeply into the science behind them. There are some really great videos on YouTube that go much deeper and we urge you to seek them out. Our hope with this video is that, if this is the only lightning video you've ever watched, you'll be a little more safe because of it.

HOW TO PHOTOGRAPH LIGHTNING (Ep 04 Settings)

In this episode we discuss what the best camera settings are for capturing lightning bolts in daylight, sunset and night time environments.
We also compare the MIOPS and StrikeFinder2 lightning sensors, which starts at 14:55.
This tutorial is based on using FULL MANUAL settings as well as manual focus. We provide a general understanding, so please don't fear FULL MANUAL.
